Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. Lent is the Christian season of spiritual discipline and repentance that comes before Easter. It's the period of forty days where observers will fast, pray and reflect to commemorate the 40 days Jesus Christ spent fasting in the wilderness enduring temptation.
